Elke Grittmann

Elke Grittmann is currently visiting professor of communication studies at the University of Augsburg. She studied art history, journalism and mass communication studies and political science in Hamburg and Rome and has worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Hamburg and the Leuphana University of Lueneburg. Her research and teaching fields are photojournalism, political communication, journalism and public sphere, collective memory and gender studies. She has also published a book on photojournalism called Global, lokal, digital – Fotojournalismus heute.
