Abbé Apollinaire Muholongu Malumalu

Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Apollinaire Malumalu works in a threefold function at the moment. He is President of the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI), Priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Butembo-Beni and Representative of the civil society inside the CEI.

He gained his Doctor of Political Science at the State University of Grenoble II, France and fulfills numerous scientific and academic functions besides being Rector of the Catholic University of Graben (UCG) in Butembo.
Mr. Malumalu has published extensively, often in the fields of politics, Civil Society and Democratisation Processes.
